Wagon lovers rejoice as Audi has confirmed the A6 Allroad is returning to America next year.
Set to arrive 20 years after the first-generation wagon, the 2020 A6 Allroad follows in the footsteps of the European variant which was introduced earlier this year.
As a result, the model has a rugged appearance at it features an Alu-optic skid plate, an Allroad-specific grille and 20-inch alloy wheels. The wagon will also come equipped with matte scandium gray body cladding, but body-colored components will also be available.
Detailed specifications will be announced closer to launch, but Audi said the wagon will come nicely equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a Bang & Olufsen 3D premium audio system and an ambient LED interior lighting package. The company also said we can expect the same “extensive infotainment range and driver assistance systems that can be found in the A6 sedan.” This means we can expect a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch infotainment system and a lower 8.6-inch display.
The US-spec model will be powered by a familiar turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. It will be paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which sends power to a standard quattro all-wheel drive system.
